The Ekiti state police command says its men have arrested one SEGUN OLAMIDE also known as CONFIDENCE for allegedly burgling 16 houses and shops belonging to 16 different complainants within Ado-Ekiti and carting away numerous valuables.
According to police spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu, the suspect confessed to the crime and listed one OLATUNJI MICHEAL who resides in Akure, Ondo State, but was later arrested, and three others who are currently at large as his accomplices.
Some of the stolen items recovered are, Fifteen varieties of electronic appliances, Two hundred and twenty pairs of male and female shoes, Two hundred and seventy five male and female clothes, Provisions and foodstuffs and assorted wines.
The statement said the two suspects arrested will be arraigned accordingly while efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.
