Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa has emerged victorious in the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday.
According to the results from 18 local government areas (LGAs) announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, Lucky secured a total of 366,781 votes. His closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), garnered 117,845 votes.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi announced Aiyedatiwa as the winner at the collation centre in Akure, the state capital, on Sunday.
