Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has appointed Assistant Inspector-General Rhoda Adetutu Olofu as the new Force Secretary.
According to Force Spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi – the appointment of the female police officer is to promote gender inclusivity in the Nigeria Police Force.
AIG Olofu is said to have an impressive track record, having served s the AIG Maritime Police Command at the Force Headquarters Annex in Lagos as the 20th Assistant Inspector-General of Police to hold the position and, notably, the third female to head the Maritime Command.
Olofu succeeds AIG Yetunde Longe who served as the 1st Force Secretary in June, 2024.
