Senator representing Kano South, Suleiman Kawu has proposed a bill for the creation of ‘Tiga State.
The bill for the State which is to be carved out from Kano State is expected to pass first reading at the next legislative session.
It comes weeks after the Senate received a bill proposing the creation of Anioma State in the Southeast region, sponsored by Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko.
Additionally, bills have been introduced for the creation of Orlu State, sponsored by Senator Osita Izunaso and Representative Ikenga Ugochineyere, and Etiti State, sponsored by Representative Amobi Godwin Ogah and four other lawmakers from affected communities.
