The House of Representatives has denied demanding a bribe from cryptocurrency company, Binance Group after allegations were made by the company.
Binance which is battling several criminal charges in Nigeria, claimed unknown individuals in Nigeria demanded huge digital currency payments to resolve their issues in the country shortly after a meeting with the House Committee on Financial Crimes.
Subsequently, lawmaker representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, Kama Nkemkanma asked the House to re-invite Binance to verify the bribe claims.
The House also mandated the Director General of the Department of State Services to take over the investigation and prosecution of personnel found complicit in the escape of Nadeem Anjarwalla from National Security Adviser custody in March.
