The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) has launched a public survey to gather insights and feedback from stakeholders, partners, and the general public as part of its 2024 Participatory Strategic Review (PSR). The exercise will inform PIND’s strategic direction and interventions in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region for the next five years, from 2025 to 2029.
According to a statement issued by the Foundation’s Executive Director, Mr Tunji Idowu, “PIND has invested over NGN 93 billion, sourced from the region’s government, donor agencies, and the private sector, to improve the lives and livelihoods of Niger Deltans.
“The organization’s interventions have reached over 1,057,706 farmers and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with information on best farming practices, access to inputs, and technological innovations.
“Additionally, PIND has facilitated access to renewable energy for 5,787 businesses and households in coastal communities, enabling over 26,387 community users to accrue savings of NGN 1.03 billion. Furthermore, the organization has empowered 8,336 young people with market-relevant skills in emerging growth sectors.
Mr Tunji, in emphasizing the role of the public in shaping the organization’s future interventions said, “the PSR survey provides a platform for everyone to share their perspectives, experiences, and suggestions, enabling us to design more effective and impactful interventions.”
The online survey, accessible at https://bit.ly/PINDPSR, seeks to assess the effectiveness of PIND’s developmental strategies and approaches, identify opportunities for continued relevance, and gather insights for potential partnerships, collaborations, and investment opportunities.
PIND urged stakeholders, partners, and members of the public to participate in the survey and make their voices heard as such participation is crucial for “driving sustainable development and enhancing the lives and livelihoods of the Niger Delta people.”
This is a great initiative by the foundation. I will take the survey as well.
