Former Spanish FA boss, Luis Rubiales, who is the subject of Spain’s ‘Kissgate’ scandal, has been arrested upon arrival from the Dominican Republic,
It was gathered that detectives awaited him as he landed at Madrid’s Barajas Airport and is expected to receive a court summons as part of an ongoing corruption probe linked to his time as head of the Spanish FA and other business deals, including one involving hosting the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
While the investigation is unrelated to his ‘Kissgate’ scandal involving footballer, Jenni Hermoso, prosecutors are also seeking a 2.5-year prison term over the incident.
