Nigerian legendary singer, Innocent Idibia alias 2baba says Burna Boy has worked, proven, and stamped himself as one of the greatest music icons in the industry regardless of if he is loved or hated.
2face showered the accolades via his Instagram story offering his verdict on the recurring conversations of who is the better act between Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid.
He wrote, “Call this my talk anything u like. This young man has worked, proven, and stamped himself as one of the greatest music icons. Hate him or love him. E no go change fact. Kudos to everyone that is part of making this fact happen. Oluwa Burnafide.”
Meanwhile, veteran talent manager and music executive, Obi Asika, has stated that new Nigerian artistes would not have existed without their veteran counterpart.
Justifying his statement, he described Wizkid as a younger version of D’banj while ascribing Burna Boy’s style to a reinvention of Daddy Showkey’s style.
Asika said, “2Face has a grass to grace story, the same with Daddy Showkey. These are legends. You can’t have a Burna Boy without a Daddy Showkey.”
“You can’t have a Wizkid without Dbanj. You can’t have Davido without these legends like P-Square.”
