African table tennis champion Aruna Quadri has accused World Table Tennis, WTT, of racism after receiving two rankings and monetary penalties in two months.
Quadri took to his Facebook page, to query the WTT for sanctioning him for not participating in the World Championships and the WTT Championship in Korea.
According to him, he had informed the world body of his poor health and involvement in club activities at the time both tournaments were held in the Asian country.
He expressed disappointment at the sanctions which pushed him to 19 in the world rankings and from number one to number two in Africa in March.
Quadri argued that he was subject to racial discrimination and unfair treatment because he was African.
