Governor Godwin Obaseki wants Nigerian filmmakers to start considering Edo state as a creative hub for their productions, promising them the necessary support they need.
Speaking at an industry mixer in Lagos State ahead of the second edition of the Edo State International Film Festival (ESIFF), the governor assured industry stakeholders that his government is building infrastructure and training a pool of talented people to meet all their production needs.
He emphasised that Edo is keen on making an impact in the film space and will provide opportunities for filmmakers who need a platform.
Governor Obaseki also promised a prize money of $35,000 for the Edo State International Film Festival.
