Justice Edward Okpe of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja, has struck out a joint case against the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) filed by Emefiele‘s siblings, George and Okanta.

At the resumed hearing of the cases, counsel for the siblings, Grace Ehusani, informed the court that the applicants separately filed notice of discontinuance of the case, though she did not give any reasons for the application.

The Emefiele siblings took the AGF and the DSS to court over the infringement on their fundamental human rights on account of issues surrounding the embattled suspended CBN governor.

The AGF and the DSS did not oppose the withdrawal of the case.
