Spain’s Captain Olga Carmona led her team to success, netting a decisive goal in the 29th minute, capitalizing on a swift counter-attack.
Spain was however denied a second goal as England goalkeeper, Mary Earps saved a second-half penalty from Jennifer Hermoso.
