Nigerians have been told to expect an end to multiple taxation as the Bola Tinubu Administration intends to harmonise various taxes administered by the three tiers of government.
This is according to Chairman of the Joint Tax Board (JTB) Muhammad Nami who disclosed this at the meeting with Chairmen of States Internal Revenue Boards, in Abuja.
Nami who emphasised the need for a tax friendly environment in Nigeria said his team was moving from the level of discussion to practicalising the much-needed tax harmonization in the country.
How however assured that the administration would protect small businesses, while making sure that informal sector operators were brought into the tax net.
