In Kwara state, Workers are to get N10,000 monthly palliative to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
According to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the N10,000 monthly palliative is to help workers cope with the recent fuel subsidy removal and its attendant economic impacts.
He said the payment would take effect this month and urged residents of the state to bear with the governor who would have loved to do more, if he had access to more resources.
Kwara had earlier introduced a 3-day work schedule for its civil servants but suspended it in view of an earlier advisory of the National Economic Council for states to await a more holistic response to the development.
