Senate President Ahmad Lawan says the upper legislative chamber, which he has presided over for the past four years, worked for the interest of Nigerians.
Lawan spoke on Wednesday when he had a farewell meeting with the senate press corps in Abuja.
The ninth national assembly has been criticised by many for allegedly succumbing to the whims of the executive.
Lawan said the national assembly under his watch ensured that the executive arm of government worked for the citizens, adding that former President Muhammadu Buhari signed over 100 bills in the past four years.
