The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Government in what appears to be a sign that the strike may soon be suspended.
NARD President, Dr Emeka Orji said the MoU was a product of its meeting with Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Health and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, to deliberate on their demands.
He explained that a National Executive Council would be convoked in the next 48 hours for a decision to be taken on the continuation or suspension of the strike which commenced on Wednesday.
