Osun Gov.verdict.
- The Supreme Court delivered its judgment over the Osun Governorship election. It affirmed the Appeal Court decision that Sen. Ademola Adeleke won the election and that there was No over-voting from BVAS Report.
Important message on justice.
- This shows that if the FACTS of a case are clear and established and the laws are applied, there can be a reasonable prediction of outcome of matters in court. Today’s judgment also confirms that if the Judiciary refuse to surrender its powers as the last line of defence in a democracy and if there is no corruption and intimidation of judges .
- On your program shortly after the Osun Tribunal government few months ago, was former INEC Commissioner (.,….) he explained and demonstrated with infograhics that there was No over voting contrary to the Tribunal judgment, that the first incomplete BVAS report and subsequent two complete reports all emanated from one primary source which is the BVAS. He expressed concern that perhaps those who do not want BVAS to be used for the general election were out to use the wrong judgment to discredit BVAS. What he said about No over voting was what both the Appeal Court and Supreme Court justices have all confirmed.
