At about 11.40pm, some of the Nigerians fleeing a war torn Sudan finally arrived aboard two planes.
The specific number unknown as at press time, arrived in a C130 transport plane and an Airpeace plane.
This arrival begins the last phase of a torturous evacuation journey from Sudan ridden by mammoth administrative incompetence on the part of the Nigerian officials.
Government officials were on ground to receive them at the Abuja Airport and further information will be provided.
