Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has confirmed that the journey of Nigerian students evacuated from Sudan has continued.

Earlier clips surfaced online showing Nigerian students in Sudan complaining about the poor treatment they got from the bus drivers conveying them to Egypt.

One of the students complained that the drivers had refused to continue the journey over non-payment of their fees, thus, leaving them stranded in the desert.

Reacting to the clip, Dabiri-Erewa said she had spoken to the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Ahmed and confirmed that the buses had resumed movement.
