The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Adamawa, Yunusa Ari has controversially announced Aisha Dahiru Binani of the All Progressives Congress winner of the Governorship election.
However that announcement made in the absence of the Returning Officer, Mele Lamido has triggered protests from members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Before the collation of exercise was suspended on Saturday night, results from 10 LGAs had been announced and collation of results of the remaining 10 LGAs was expected to commence by 11am today.
