The Senate of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has suspended the activities of Students’ Union including all Faculty and Departmental Associations.
The Senate, at its meeting held on April 12, 2023 took the decision, while noting that the Students’ protest of April 11, 2023 was unwarranted, untoward and inimical to peaceful academic activities in the university.
In a circular to the university community signed by the Registrar by Dr. Babatunde Dada, the Senate directed that no group of students should parade themselves as Executives or Representatives of the students’ body.
Accordingly, all Executives of the Students’ Union as well as the Faculty and Departmental Associations are hereby directed to hand over all union’s/association’s property in their possession to the Dean of Students’ Affairs on or before today.
