Kano governor-elect, Abba Yusuf, has approved a 65-member transition committee for the smooth take-off of his administration on May 29.

This is contained in a statement on Friday in Kano by his spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.

Dawakin-Tofa said the committee would be headed by Baffa Bichi, a former executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, while a retired Permanent Secretary, Abdullahi Musa, would serve as the secretary.

He said the committee would among other things facilitate the orderly transfer of power from the outgoing administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to the incoming administration of Yusuf.

Dawakin-Tofa said the governor-elect was expected to inaugurate the committee on Saturday, April 1 in Kano.
