The Governor of Adamawa State and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last Saturday’s governorship election in the state, Ahmadu Fintiri insists the Independent National Electoral Commission should remove the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner to protect its integrity.
Fintiri made the assertion during a television interview, noting that the REC, Hudu Ari misled the Returning Officer to declare the election inconclusive.
Fintiri who has scored 421,524 as against Aisha Binani’s 390, 275 votes explained that he is not against a rerun as long as it is conducted within the provisions of the law.
