The High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has nullified the dissolution of the Ekiti State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic party by the National Working Committee of the PDP.
This was contained in a statement issued by the erstwhile acting chairman of the PDP in Ekiti, Lanre Omolase, in Ado Ekiti.
According to Omolase, Justice Dele Omotoso of the high court said the expulsion of the state excos of the PDP was in breach of the constitution because the court had earlier ruled that status quo should remain on the matter.
Justice Omotoso further held that the sacked excos are the recognized and authentic executives and that they should return to office.
The court further held that Deji Ogunsakin should stop parading himself as a chairman of the party.
The court also upheld Alaba Agboola as the substantive chairman of the party in the state.
When contacted for response, Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the Southwest, Sanya Atofarati, promised to reply later.
