Muslim Cleric sheik Gumi has berated the INEC Chairman over the 25th February elections. He said on his Facebook page

I.N.E.C CHAIRMAN: My personal appeal.

“Reverting to the truth is better than persisting in falsehood” Umar bin khattab –RA.

Please do the right thing and upload the authenticated polling units (PU) results directly to your server for public scrutiny and adjust your data to reflect the truth or repeat units that have any infraction.

The polity is already negatively reacting. Some international observers are also complaining.

It’s not only your legacy that is at stake as an academic, but it is also crucial that the credibility of the results is acceptable to some standard so that political instability does not arise.

In the 2019 elections, you denied the presence of the I.N.E.C server which the supreme court upheld to the dismay of all and I.N.E.C got scot-free with it, today other wider interests are involved, please save the nation from any political turmoil and do the right thing.

Whoever wins should do so clearly, transparently, and neatly.
