Presidential candidate OF THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar commended the Department of State Services, DSS, for summoning Femi Fani-Kayode over his remarks on a planned coup.
Fani-Kayode had alleged that Atiku and some military generals met secretly mentioning a possible coup plot ahead of the general elections.
Subsequently, the DSS invited the All Progressives Congress chieftain to substantiate the claim.
Reacting to the move by the DSS, Atiku, through his aide on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu called on the DSS to carry out a thorough probe.
Noting that Fani-Kayode cannot be alone in the claim, Shaibu asked DSS to also ask Fani-Kayode to explain his ties to Yoruba nation agitators, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and other separatist organisations threatening Nigeria’s unity.
