Just In: Joe Ajaero Succeeds Wabba as NLC President

General Secretary of National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Joe Ajaero has emerged as President of the Nigeria Labour Congress.

Ajaero emerged unopposed following a consensus arrangement by delegates participating in the 13th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference in Abuja.

he succeeds Ayuba Wabba who served for eight years.

Born on December 17, 1964, in Emekuku Owerri-North, Imo State, Ajaero has been general secretary of the NUEE since 2005 and NLC deputy president since 2011.
