Members of the Progressive Governors Forum led by Bauchi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu are set to meet President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday to discuss the impact of the nationwide fuel scarcity and naira redesign policy on the general elections.
Several Nigerians have lamented the hardship caused by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Policy on new Naira notes and scarcity of fuel across the country.
However, an exclusive source told VeoNewsng that the APC Governors will meet the President on Friday to bare their feelings on the matter.
The source also added that “they (APC Governors) will also formally report some appointees and close aides of the President who are working with the opposition to make the ruling party lose the elections.”
The APC governors will also demand that the President direct the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to review the cashless and new Naira policies to make for adjustments that will immediately remove the pains of Nigerians.
Recall that Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Channels Television on Wednesday, said the naira redesign and fuel subsidy policies been pushed at this time make no “political and economic sense”.
He added that the policy was being pushed by “elements” within Aso Rock who are working against the victory of Presidential Candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu.
