The Election Petition Tribunal chaired by Justice Tertse Kume has sacked Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke and declared Adegboyega Oyetola as winner of the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

The majority judgement of two judges against one ordered that Certificate of Return should be withdrawn from Adeleke and issued to Oyetola.

The tribunal sacked Adeleke for overvoting in some polling units across the State.

He thereby deducted the number of over-voting presented by Oyetola and APC.

After deducting the over-voting figure, the tribunal said Oyetola scored 314,921 while Ademola gathered 290,266.
