Former governor of Adamawa state, Jibrilla Bindow has finally left the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
Bindow who lost the governorship elections in 2019 to governor Ahmadu Fintiri confirmed his long speculated exit to newsmen.
In an earlier letter to the APC Chairman in his Kolere ward in Mubi North LGA, Bindow said that unresolved crisis within the party since the outcome of the governorship primaries in the state informed his defection.
The former governor, however, refused to declare his next political destination but has been seen with People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the state governor, Fintiri.
Reacting to the development, the State APC Organising Secretary, Mustapha Ribadu said Bindow’s defection was a big loss to the party being the first and only APC governor so far but the party would, however, double its effort to win the 2023 elections without him.
