Buhari attends last Armed Forces Remembrance Day as President

President Muhammadu Buhari has attended the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day wreath-laying ceremony at the National Arcade, Abuja.

Buhari who arrived at the Arcade at 10:05 am was immediately ushered onto the saluting base for the National Salute.

He also inspected the guards of Honour, accompanied by the Commander Guards Brigade after which he proceeded to the Cenotaph for the wreath-laying ceremony proper.

In attendance were; Vice President President, Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Defense Staff, Service Chiefs, Chief Justice of Nigeria, members of the Federal Executive Council, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President’s Chief of Staff, and Permanent Secretaries, amongst others.

The 2023 wreath-laying ceremony will be Buhari’s last as Commander-in-Chief.
