The Association of Resident Doctors in Ekiti State has given the state government 2 weeks ultimatum with immediate effect to address its members’ demands.

Speaking with VEOnews in an exclusive interview, President of the association in Ekiti, Dr. Famous Adeyemi, said the 2 weeks ultimatum is to allow the government come up with a white paper on the lingering issues.

Adeyemi said after 2 weeks, if government is not able to come up with any actionable plan, resident doctors in Ekiti may have to down tools from 12 midnight, January 25.

Adeyemi had earlier lamented listed the challenges facing the doctors as; shortage of manpower, non-payment of salary arrears, poor remuneration among others.
