Ondo Independent Electoral Commission has released the time table for local government elections in the State.

Chairman of the Commission, Yomi Dinakin, who disclosed this at a briefing in Akure, said the release of the time table was in line with the Electoral Act, 2022.

Noting that the local polls would hold on December 16, 2023, Dinakin stated that the announcement was to avoid litigation.

Dinakin said conduct of party primaries by political parties would be between April 10 to June 10, 2023 while campaigns would begin on July 17 and ends midnight of December 14 2023.

He said the body would meet with stakeholders for release of the election guidelines.
