The abductors 16 wedding guests at Gwombe community in Gwargwada Chiefdom in Kuje Area Council of the FCT have demanded N150 million ransom.

Recall that gunmen on Saturday waylaid a vehicle conveying 16 wedding guests on their way from Abaji to Gwombe village and abducted them.

A family member of one of the victims, who simply identified himself as Yakubu, said, “The leader of the gunmen called on Sunday with the phone of one of the victims and demanded N150m and switched off.”

“He called on Monday morning and asked two of the victims to speak with the village chief in order to know they are alive.”

The Agabe of Gwargwada, Alhaji Hussain Agabi Mam, who confirmed the demand for N150m, said, “It was even the chief of Gwombe that called me this morning and informed me about the ransom demand. And after that, he said the gunmen called again and asked him to speak with two of the victims in their captivity.”
