In a bid to advance interests in arts, particularly poetry, the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) will on November 18, 2022 launch a poetry prize in honour of late Engr Mufutau and Christie Oseni.

The late couple are parents of popular broadcast Journalist, Rufai Oseni.

Recall that during the recent day of tribute for his late dad, Oseni recalled how his father, “was a man that loved life, love arts, a lot of dancing and poetry and loved to have a good time”.

The prize intended for junior secondary school students will be launched as part of activities for this year’s Lagos Book and Arts Festival (LABAF) taking place from November 14 – 20, 2022 in honour of veteran painter, Bruce Onobrakpeya.

According to Oseni, the annual event “would involve secondary schools students delivering poetry renditions and the winner will be given a prize money and also technical support and publishing of the winning poem on the poetry corner of media outlet, VeoNewsng.
