The fourth episode of Marvel’s Captain America series will be directed by Nigerian-born filmmaker Julius Onah.
Julius is the son of late Nigerian ambassador Adogah Onah and was born in Makurdi, Benue state.
He is most recognised for his directing and producing responsibilities in “Luce,” a 2019 social thriller drama starring Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts, and The Cloverfield Paradox, a 2018 thriller starring Nigerian British actor David Oyelowo.
He was named one of the 13 African celebrities to watch by Forbes Magazine.
It is unclear if Chris Evans will reprise his role as Captain America in the new thriller, but Anthony Mackie has been confirmed to act in the film.
Based on the 2021 Marvel’s Disney+ series “Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” after much self-doubt, the Falcon eventually took Captain America’s shield to take over as the new primary protagonist.
Malcolm Spellman, the creator and chief writer of Winter Soldier, and the show’s staff writer, Dalan Musson, will collaborate on Captain America 4.
