The Nigerian government in honour of this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the Federal Government has proclaimed Monday, October 10, a federal holiday.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.
He praised all Muslims in the Diaspora for being present at this year’s event.
In a statement issued by his permanent secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, the Minister exhorted all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of love, patience, tolerance, and tenacity.
