MC Oran of Algeria says it willl decide the future of coach, Eric Chelle after Saturday’s cup match against Union sportive de Sétif, following his surprise appointment as Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach on Tuesday.
Despite being announced as Nigeria’s new coach ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Chelle remains active with MC Oran, leading training yesterday and set to manage Saturday’s Coupe Nationale fixture.
A statement from club’s management noted that he will continue his normal duties for now while a final decision will be reached upon his return to Oran.
Chelle was formerly in charge of Mali’s national team until June last year with a record of fourteen wins, five draws, and three defeats.
