The Ekiti State Government has approved over ₦14 billion for critical infrastructure projects, including roads, schools, water, and sanitation, across the state.
The Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, disclosed this in a statement released on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti, noting that the projects were approved during the State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday.
One of the key projects is the rehabilitation of the Oke Ayedun–Ipao–Oke Ako–Irele Road, awarded to Messrs Dromo Nigeria Limited at a cost of ₦4.623 billion.
“This road, a vital link between several communities, has deteriorated significantly, posing a serious threat to residents’ safety. The rehabilitation will restore functionality and ensure seamless access for the affected communities,” Olatunbosun said.
