The presidency today asked heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government to honour invitations for appearances at the National Assembly in line with the existing harmonious working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.
This appeal comes days after the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, threatened the issuance of a warrant of arrest against those ignoring its invitations.
The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado, in a statement said the collaboration between the two arms of government remains critical for the actualisation of the President Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is built on the premise of quick and efficient governance, one that brings tangible democracy dividends to the people without delay,” he said.
