Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji on Tuesday distributed Instructional materials to public primary schools in the State. This he did In furtherance of his efforts to improve the standard of teaching at the basic education level as schools resume for the 2024/2025 academic session.
At the event held within the premises of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji described the distribution of the instructional materials which included textbooks, school diary, chalk boards, attendance register, continous assessment records and other tools was as a demonstration of government’s commitment to ensuring qualitative education at all levels through effective teaching and learning.
Represented by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr Bimpe Aderiye, the Governor explained his administration considered the provision of essential reading materials in schools as important as having up-to-date and approved curriculum which the administration has ensured.
The Executive Chairman, SUBEB in Ekiti State, Professor Femi Akinwumi who enumerated the successes recorded by Governor Oyebanji in the sector, explained that the instructional materials would be distributed to primary schools across the 38 local government and LCDAs in the state
