Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has reshuffled his executive cabinet, affecting five key ministries.

Under the new arrangement, Seun Ashamu, formerly Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, will now head the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources while his predecessor there, Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, moves to the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.

Meanwhile, Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, who held that Public Works portfolio, takes over Energy and Mineral Resources.

In the education sector, Professor Solihu Adelabu has been reassigned to the Ministry of Establishments and Training, while Segun Olayiwola, formerly in that ministry, becomes the new Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.

In a letter signed by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, the affected commissioners were asked to maintain their commitment to the state’s development agenda during this transition period.
