Gowon, Obasanjo Others To Lead Tribute For Edwin Clark in Lagos

Former Head of State Yakubu Gowon, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other prominent Nigerian leaders will attend a tribute ceremony for the late former Federal Commissioner for Information and South South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark in Lagos.

The event, scheduled for Thursday, 1st May at Lagos Sheraton Hotels, will celebrate the life of the Elder Statesman who died in February aged 97.

According to Baroong Tony Uranta of the Organising Committee, the ceremony is being arranged by Clark’s widow, Dr Abisola Shodipo-Clark, alongside associates of the Niger Delta leader.

Lawyer, businessman and experienced political Activist from Rivers State, Prince Fafaa Dan-Princewill will deliver a lecture on True Federalism and Resource Control in Nigeria, while Songs of Praise and Prayers will be conducted by prominent cleric, Itua Ighodalo.
