The 17th edition of Nigeria’s most prestigious music awards, The Headies Awards, is underway in Lagos, marking a triumphant return to home soil after two consecutive editions held in Atlanta, USA. The star-studded event featured top artists such as Davido and industry icons gathering to honour the best in Nigerian music as winners are announced live.
In a unique twist, two Headies ceremonies will take place in 2024—the 17th edition on Sunday and an 18th edition in December making up for last year’s hiatus.
Renowned for spotlighting excellence in Afrobeats and beyond, this year’s awards feature 31 competitive categories, including Artiste of the Year, Song of the Year, and the highly anticipated Next Rated award.
Below are the winners announced so far at the 17th Headies Awards.
