A multi-storey structure located on Oremeta Street in the Ojodu-Berger axis of Lagos State collapsed in the early hours of today, trapping an unspecified number of people beneath the debris.
The ill-fated building, said to be under construction, also housed the well-known EqualRight Restaurant.
According to eyewitness accounts, the collapse occurred at approximately 8 am, catching occupants and passersby by surprise.
An eyewitness who spoke to newsmen on the grounds of anonymity said the cause of the collapse was yet to be ascertained, but admitted that the building was a “Bomb waiting to explode.”
