Jennifer Awele Odonwodo, widow of beloved Nollywood actor Junior Pope, has shared an emotional tribute marking one year since her husband’s tragic passing.

The actor drowned alongside four others in Anam River, Rivers State on April 10, 2024, while returning from a film shoot.

In an Instagram post accompanied by family photos, Jennifer described the past year as “extremely difficult,” with each day filled with memories of her late spouse. The images showed her and their three sons dressed in white, seated before a large portrait of the actor, their clothing bearing poignant messages like “Envy of every woman” and “God over everything.”

“Your love still surrounds us, your laughter echoes in our hearts,” Jennifer wrote, detailing the family’s struggle with grief. She shared heartbreaking moments when their children asked about unfulfilled promises, including football academy plans and a promised toy car.

The widow expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support while honoring her husband’s legacy: “You live on in every memory, every smile and every tear… May Your Soul Rest In Perfect Peace, My Love.”
