The Kano State Police Command has banned all Durbar activities during the 2025 Eid-El-Fitr Sallah festivities, citing security concerns and the need to maintain public order.
The announcement was made by the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Bakori, during a press briefing at the Bompai Police Headquarters Today.
According to CP Bakori, the decision was to ensure a peaceful and secure environment throughout the celebrations.
He assured residents that adequate security measures had been put in place to protect worshippers at designated Eid prayer grounds.
The Commissioner also emphasised strict ban on horse riding (Kilisa), car racing, and reckless driving during the festive period.
