Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has accused Popular Cleric, Apostle Femi Lazarus, founder of Light Nation Church, of charging students $150 for his ministry school, despite preaching against gospel artists charging fees for performances.
The controversy began after Pastor Lazarus criticized gospel musicians who demand payment to perform at church events, insisting that they should trust God for provision.
In response, Dakolo opposed the pastor’s stance, arguing that gospel singers have financial obligations and should be compensated.
Sharing a screenshot of the enrollment fee for Pastor Lazarus’ ministry school, Dakolo questioned the pastor’s own pricing system, stating: “If anyone charging to minister is a performer, then a preacher charging to teach is a merchant of hope. Are you not selling the gift and revelation freely given to you?”
