The has carried out airstrikes against terrorist positions in northeast Nigeria, killing multiple fighters and destroying three gun trucks.
According to Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the strikes targeted a terrorist enclave north of Chiralia in the Timbuktu Triangle, a known insurgent hideout.
“The precision airstrikes significantly disrupted terrorist activities in the region,” the statement read.
Fighter jets attacked terrorists concealed under trees, with the first strike destroying two vehicles. A follow-up attack eliminated the third gun truck as fighters attempted to reposition it.
Ali said many insurgents were killed while trying to flee the scene.
The military says the operation demonstrates its commitment to denying terrorists freedom of movement while providing crucial air support to ground forces in the region.
