Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has denied allegations of sexual harassment made against him by Senator Cyril Fasuyi.
According to a press statement from the Fayemi Media Office, Senator Fasuyi’s claims that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan had previously accused Dr. Fayemi of sexual harassment are entirely false.
The statement clarifies that Senator Fasuyi’s actual comments during the Senate plenary were regarding Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s past false and defamatory claims against Dr. Fayemi related to the Ajaokuta Steel Company.
It added that Fayemi has always upheld the highest standards of integrity in public service, and his team strongly rejects any attempt by the media to associate his name with baseless and damaging allegations.
